We Are Comfy In Our New Neighborhood
Finding an apartment in New York could be a real nightmare. My husband and I had lived in upper Manhattan for the bulk of our marriage, and we did not like it there.
Each of us worked in Brooklyn, so we were expecting to be in a position to find a better apartment in Brooklyn Heights. Despite the fact that the apartments were a lot more pricey there, not only was it a great area, but we might both be able to be a lot closer to our jobs.
We soon got a call from one of the places which we had applied for, and they told us that they were very interested in giving us an interview. My husband and I went for the interview, and we managed to get the studio. The only problem was that we were going to have to move out of our old flat and be without a place to live for one month, because our new place was not going to be ready for us in time. My husband and I decided that we are going to just stay in a hotel until we managed to move into our new flat.
We looked for a NYC mini storage unit, and we found a company called storage NYC. We put all our things in storage, and we moved into the hotel. It was extremely nice living in a hotel for a month, though it was also terribly expensive. My husband and I were so happy when we were finally able to begin moving our things into our new flat. Our new apartment was amazing, it was gigantic, stunning, and it had two bathrooms.
The movers came in and we got all of our stuff out of storage and put it in our new loft, and now we’re finally settling in. It took us quite some time to get a great apartment in the area that we wanted, but now that we are living in Brooklyn, my husband and I are both very happy in our new neighborhood.
