When you get married, one of the first things you discover is you often have too much stuff for one household. Well, at least that was the case for us. My husband had an apartment when I met him and I did too. So we had essentially double on everything.
But neither one of us was ready to dispose of all the additional stuff. So I thought we may just as well rent a storage locker to put the things we definitely needed to keep, but had no real room for in our new place. Getting a new place together was important, because it wouldn’t have the ghost of former girlfriends and boyfriends to contend with.
I went online to look for a place to store some things, I did a net search for “NYC mini storage” and “storage NYC.” One of the most important things we wanted to store was all the things my husband amassed over his single years like movie memorabilia and stuff. I liked some of the flicks my husband liked, but not enough to have all the things he had around his place.
When I found your site, I knew I had found precisely what we needed. The storage unit was very near our home, so anytime my hubby wished to go visit his things, he could. I know some of the people may think I was being a little tough, but those people are what I like to call wrong.
They do not have a life size Darth Vader or Storm Trooper in their den. Thanks to the storage unit, my hubby could keep all his things safe and sound until we moved into a bigger home that he could have a separate room for all his movie things. It was going to be an ideal situation.
